Honestly, how many Mach 1 DOHCs are out there? I drive quite a bit and have yet to see one. In my area Mustang GTs outnumber Camaros like 30-1, so I'm still very much in the game.

Cobras are more common than Mach1s!

The LT1 motor itself is > both 4.6l SOCHs. I'd say LT1 = 96-98 DOHC.

Cobras from '96-'01 had DOHC 4.6s as well as Mach 1s.

What I really meant was the 1/4 mile time of the car with the motor in question. 99+ GT = LT1. '96-'01 Cobra and Mach 1s > LT1. LS1 > '96-'01 Cobra and Mach 1s. '03+ Cobra > LS1. Stock for stock, equal drivers of course.

How'd you figure the later out? Anything pre 99 Mustangs just plained sucked. 94-98 were some of the worst years for mustangs

I'd still say, on average, the lt1 cars were quicker than 99+ SOHC cars...not by much, but they generally have a mph or 2 on the 99+ GTs and are a little quicker (given equal drivers).
