Re: CRX race
Actually I have seen a few. Most of witch I have killed. Im telling you them damn things only have power at high rpms and their power d=band is very small. Why are there poeple in here defending them anyways.

American cars kill them in low end and high end. My thought on this, theres no excuse to get killed by a egg-roll on four wheels and some engine mods.
Just because it's an import doesn't make it rice. A fast car is a fast car, deal with it...
Re: CRX race
I will admit that there are fast rice rickets, but I have never had the discust of actually seeing one in person. When i first got my Z28 i had something like 350 rwhp. I raced a civic with 250 hp with a 200 shot and spanked him. Ive killed preludes, accords, crx's, and rx7's. All with very high hp #'s and the only car that gave me a run for my money was the 350z. He won 1 of 3 races and i barley, i mean barley got the last one. Other than that I have never had a rice maker come with in a cars length of me. So, I guess trying to convince me that American muscle can get beat by a car with less power than my motorcycle is going to be very hard.
Re: CRX race
I have a hard time believing that you, in a 350 hp Camaro, beat a 250 hp plus 200 shot Civic.
Even if you did, so what? There's plenty of Civics, 3000GTs, and a whole hoast of imports murdering domestics. Sure, only the VR4 3000GT really has a chance stock for stock, but so what? They're modified cars, ours are modded cars. If you have a supercharger you'd say it was pure American power. If they had a turbo, you'd claim what, the little ricer desperate to make more power from his 4cyl? There guys are generally making more HP per cylander than most of us, so how can we bash them for that?
Come on, if a person put an LS7 in a new Chevy Aveo, would you go touting it as pure American power? These guys are just putting the most powerful engines in the cars that make them go the fastest. Sound familiar? If not, look at the American cars of the late 60s.

Re: CRX race
This is why compareing non stock cars is pointless, once they go unstock its who ever has more money will win, well a combintion of more money and driver ability. In the end guys, a v8 top fuel dragster will beat all 4 bangers

Oh and not defending ricers(ie...people that lie about there cars and think there fast enough to beat every car out there...kinda like you). I have no problem with a fast honda...hell he's doing the same thing as me, just with a different car.
And you were refering to 300-400 horse hondas...now you trying to convince me that your motorcycle had more that 300-400 horse is going to be very hard.
Re: CRX race
First off, no i was saying my bike has more stock hp than a stock civic etc. I have a 96 z28(look at my screen name). Guy i bought car from had heads ported and lt4 cam. I believe its a 355 also. Kinda had a hard time figuring out what was exactly done to it cuz he did shortly after i got the car. As far as me not liking ricers, it b/c they lie alot more than domestic guys. Also, that civic that had 250 ho plus 200 shot does excist. ****en car is bad ***. But i took him so end of story. As far as me making my car more than it is, not possible. The guys is dead that got the work done to it, so i have no idea what is done to it. He said it had close to 400 rwhp. Which I believe b/c it hauls ***. Never benn to the track with it, but i hang with some pretty high number cars.
As far as the whole mob/stock thing, you guys are right. Him and I are doing the same thing. Im just an American muscle boy that loves raw power. And the closest i get to *** power is when its between my legs and Im cutting corners or exceeding 160 mph. Call me closed minded or crazy, but American power is where its at.

Re: CRX race
My first fast car was a CRX with a JDM H22A motor from the Prelude. all motor i was push 423 wheel horsepower and 403 wheel torque. Gutted inside and basically all racetrim. I never got a chance top run it at the track as i blew it up not much after i dynoed it.

the most you are looking at is 220 to the front wheels, dont get how you added 200 to that.

I typoed the torque....303 torque, but my horsepower was 423. sorry if you dont believe me....i really dont like to bull ****.
