Couple Kills
1st:
Red LS1 Z28 (mostly stock I think maybe lid and exhaust, I'm not sure I dont know the guy), driving crazily fast in the middle of town, tried to race me on a street that has the highest Cop traffic... I said noooo, so we went to the highway, the 1st time we tried to go was a 50 roll, he honked, I jumped a little bit, so I stopped, I didn't want to beat him by jumping. A few seconds later the guy rolls down his window and is like, "What's up man what's up", I just said "Are you ready?" Heh, so he honked, and i let him jump from a 50 roll, once he punched it I punched it....by 70 mph, a car length in front, by 95 I had about 2-3 cars on him. At this point he let off and so did I then he sped by me...that was fun.
2nd Race:
2002 Firehawk, w/ intake lid, MAF, Hooker coated LTs, 3" loudmouth, and all the free mods, full suspension mods, nittos (dynoed almost 360 rwhp at MTI)....me w/ mods in sig. on street tires. 30 roll, 1st gear, he honked then jumped me cause he had the nittos and I'm on street tires, so he had me by about a half car at the 1st to 2nd shift, by the middle of 3rd gear I started gaining, end of 3rd I had about a 1/4 car lead, shifted to 4th, by the end of 4th I had about a 3/4 car lead....that was a good race. We ran again, this time from a 50 roll and 2nd gear, he honked again, we both went about the same time, and all the way to 130 it was DEAD even. I mean, I would creep a few inches, then he would creep a few inches, then back and forth. He jumped me a little bit, so I actually played catch up a little bit, I went from 1/2 car behind in 2nd gear to dead even by the end of 3rd. 4th gear was dead even all the way through the rpms (maybe pulled a couple foot oh him). Most of the time I'm not much of a street racer, but since I got my new setup I had to see what it could do, but I'm done w/ the street racing for now....TOO many risks, just thought I'd let you guys know the results of my new setup! Oh and at the track the Firehawk runs mid 12s.
