A guy I know has a 00 vette convertible base model. He's talking **** on my car saying I don't even have a chance. He's bragging about his only mod, being a "Tornado" lol. Just curious, do I have a chance? My mods are in my sig.

 

There is always a chance.
With your mods and an A4, if the car is hooking, I doubt he'll catch you.
Sneak a set of DR's on and crack his @ss. He'll spend 1320' chasing taillights.

I'm just speculating here, but anyone who think of that BS Tornado thing as a mod. is probably a wuss and can't drive.

 

LOL I would suggest going from a dig. From a roll things might get ugly for you with a stall and gears. Good luck. Even if you lose you can prove your car isn't a pos.

 

With high stall, gears, and headers, I think you've got a really good chance to win. Just make sure you practice your launch.

C5's can come with 2.79 or the 3.15 performance gears in the A4. My wife has a 2.79 geared A4 Vette coupe and it's not that fast -- my *guess* is mid 13s.

 

If you get a good launch you have a chance, if not he should pull you fairly easy on a even launch
