Thumbs up Another one bites the dust

Well there are some local car clubs and i decided to go see one group last night. Within 5 minutes a guy was asking to race, he had a honda s2000 with the greddy turbo kit pushing 7 for boost. Well first run smoked him, he got me off the line which i think he jumped early and i saw him mis shift but still no problem. Second run even till about 30 and i started pulling hard. i just had problems with traction running some crappy tires. Either way i then had a s-10 with drags in the rear and a 50 shot want to race and then a new cobalt ss i respectfully declined the challenges but it was fun.

So, you only race cars you know you can beat?

well, I think he might be trying to say that the turbo s2000 was faster than the other two. A turbo s2000 will beat a 2009 Cobalt SS even if the cobalt has a few mods. And if all the s10 had were sticky tires, a 50 shot, and maybe even full bolt on... it still wouldn't be able to keep up with a turbo s2000

A turbo S2000 if its lucky is still only good for a mid to high 12 second 1/4. The S2000's are really a poorly designed car for anything other than a road course where you can wind the crap out of it. In a straightline drag race I would be more nervous about the Cobalt and the S-10 than I would the Honda. Therefore, I too would like to know more about the OP's car.

My Clutch is getting near its end of life and I'm not particular to drag race over and over again just to prove a point. I can understand where it isn't practical to pony up to every challenger.
