He changed his mind about going to the track he says he cant go from a stop so we agreed to a 35mph roll on the freway.we just raced from 35 to 100mph or atleast I was at 100 .The short story is he honked 3 times we went for it he goes early but dosent matter I blow by him and keep ganing untill I let off at 100mph .I smoked his *** ;after the race he says "dam thet cars faster than I thought",he dosent realize how much a difference bolt ons make all he belives in is cams; he trys to tell me that I am lucky if my car is puting out 300 hp at the flywheel. Now he will never underestimate my car again, and he owes me a tank of gas .

I doubt your bolt ons made more than a 20-25 hp difference. You could have taken him easily stock.

Re: 96 Lt1 Vs 2006 Hemi

Ummm, it has headers ( Ok so their shorties, they still are giving him AT LEAST 10 more at the wheels ... ) No cats, and one of the highest flowing cat backs you can get ... I would say he picked up close to 20 HP just in the exhaust. He laso has a CAI, and a throttle body that should be giving him at least another 10 ... and more likely closer to 15 if not a little more. He also has a tune, which, on bolt on cars, is good for around another 10 at the wheels. He probably is a good 40 horsepower past stock. I hate to be a ricer and say this adds that, and that adds this ... But seriously, LT1's repsond pretty damn well to bolt ons... If I had a CAI, 52 MM TB, Headers, No cats, Cat Back, Tune, and gained no more than 25 horsepower ... I would throw my car off a cliff. Where he is at, in M6 cars, is usually enough to throw them close to 300 RWHP ...
