96 Lt1 Vs 2006 Hemi

MY uncle just got a new 1500 ram hemi truck. It is compleatly stock and he thinks he can beat me and he says all my car is putting out is 300HP at the fly wheel I tell him he is full of s***.I bet him a tank of gass that I will destroy him if we go to the 1/4 mi track he agrees. So this week end I am going to be giting some free gass .I have never been to the track but I am wondering what my car will run.It is a 96 z28 A4 with 60,000 mi on it; it has slp loudmouth 1,slp shorties,52mm tb,cold air intake and vortec intake elbo,160 thurmo, LT4 knock sensor, and a tune from Pcmforless. Also what do you think my HP really. Thanks

your HP is somewhere in the 270-280rwhp range, and you will smoke him.

ya it wont even be a race. You'll run like a 13.8 and he'll run like a 16.0

besides the fact that hes heavy, he has no weight in his bed so he wont have much traction at all. They can be quick though. If you get a good launch i suspect you run mid 13's and him way up in the 14's or even low 15's. Regardless you'll definatly take him

Ya even with his new wider tires he still has a big traction problem.I have drove it and i fells like if it did catch it would run farly well for a truck.

I think the ram will run good but not in the 14s; maby low to mid 15s on a good day it is just too heavy.WHAT mods if any will a LT1 camaro need to beat a RAM SRT10; my buddy wants to race me but I dont want to hear him talking about the time he beat me in his stock truck for the next ten years. That truck is fast but I have never drove it so I cant really tell if I can beat him; I think it will be a close one though. His is also the 4 door verison not the lighter singal cab.

My 95 Camaro A4 with only Catback and CAI ran a 13.7 @100....you should be mid/lower 13s with the mods that you have....you should blow that trucks doors off.

Your uncle is going to get a bad reality check. Hemis run high 15s-low 16s. Even if ya botch your launch, you will reel him in like waterskiing in a 1lb. bass on 20lb. test line.
