96-98 Saleen S281

Been eyeing this saleen for a couple of months now when I see him around town.

Never had the opportunity to race him... until today.

Both of us pulled out onto a 4 lane road (2 going our direction).. was wide open. We were side by side and hit it at about 15 mph. Anyway, I blew past this guy like he was literally standing still (3 car lengths in 5-8 seconds)... I let out before the light and he caught up..

Thru the light and into the open and we hit it again.. probably going 30?? because we had to clear some other traffic... walked away from this guy again, and let out of it at about 85... probably 4 car lengths this time..

Dude pulls past me and slows down. I pulled up next to him (windows down) at 55?? and he gives me the thumbs up..

Didn't expect to smoke this guy so bad... His car looks/sounds BADA$$. I am really curious now about what HP/TQ numbers I've really got..

I would say you ran into a stock S281. This does not have the SCer or bolt ons. It is basically a GT engine (225hp) of that year. Those Saleens are known for mostly looks with the body kit and wheels making the package.
There is a S281 that is a step up thats blown also. Then there is another step up, but thats an S351.

Good kills though....always fun to take down anything Saleen has.
