94z28 vs. 02 Stang GT
The 05+ 4.6 is considerably quicker than the previous generations. A good running 99-04 GT imo is very close to an good running LT1.
My wife's bone stock 2006 GT 5-speed ran 13.63@102.7 in so-so weather (corrects to a 13.4@104) and with very little practice so the best 60' I could manage was a 2.06.

Well, the LT1 usually runs between a 13.6-14.1 in the quarter stock. I have seen 99-04 GTs run between 13.7-14.3 stock which puts them in each others ball park. This is taking out of contention a stock auto GT.
Now I have beaten stangs in my LT1 when I had it and lost to a one aswell(only mod was a strut tower brace).
Now that I have my 00GT I have been able to beat some fbodies aswell. Its all in the driver and how well his car is running.

I completely agree with the underdog thing.

Looks like the Mustang driver has a mullet.
