army have you ever run your car at a track? dont call it a 12sec car till you know it is. im just saying because ive owned a 5.0 and i liked it but it was far from a 12 second car. from what you've described, unless you put it on a serious diet i highly doubt your in the 12s, not on those tires anyway. the fact that your car beat a lt1 i can see, the way you say you train legnthed him is what im calling BS on. i just don't see it happening is all.

props on the kill, your stang must be set up and tuned good cause the 2 built 5.0's im used to running around here both have longer laundry lists than you but even the stroker falls short everytime.

I've always heard an HCI 5.0 with traction is a 12 second car. "Pretty easy."

So do you actually have a 12 second time slip?

Errr - 4.10's with an AOD are too much now? I could have sworn in some thread you stated you have knowledge with these Fox cars?

If I had to guess why it was so ''slow'' I'd go with - 246rwhp/318rwtq - but that's just my opinion. I feel the car was maxed out for being an untuned speed density car, she gave all she had and squeaking a 12 second slip was pretty good for the mods.

Hell I HAVE a 12 second slip, but I don't claim to have a 12 second car because it was never backed up.

There's plenty of Mustangs in our area and while I love the body style - half the time they dont' run as well as you may want to lead yourself to believe.

My Z28 slaughtered many a 'stang around here. No comparison.

4.10's are not too much on an AOD car and its 2.40 1st gear by a stretch. I said it before, I think the Explorer intake unported was a mismatch for the ported heads. That and the speed density that was mentioned and stock cam? By the way Army, do you have some pics of that car of yours? I would also like to see a few copies of the slips (I am assuming there is more than one). You make a lot of claims but I have yet to see one single thing to back any of it up.

My new setup is even worse IMO

Stock GT lower intake - TW heads - Boxed upper intake.

I need to have the lower intake ported but it's what I have right at this moment.

The turbo should still be able to force the air in pretty good for the time being.

Oh well in that case I have an 11 sec car now. With the MPH it should run 11's, it just needs a better 60ft to do so. But I guess that means I can tell people I drive an 11sec car.

I see Army used the old "slipping clutch" excuse, that is a term worn out by the 5.0 world when they get beat or when their stuff doesn't run as good as their mouths do.

I've owned a ton of 'stangs so I'm hip to the lingo.

2.73's, slipping clutch, full weight car equal 12's??????

Do you have a timeslip even for the 1/8 or did you G-Tech the car?
