Re: 2003 Mustang Mach 1 VS 2001 Camaro Z-28

Sorry about the delay....but we just finished racing during my lunch break. I really had to beg him to race me. ( apparantly he was having second thoughts) We went out to the local 1/4 mile spot and it is noon in braud daylight so I wanted to hurry up. I will give him some credit because he did have a passenger and I did not but it wasn't that close.
First race he spun all the way thru first gear and I think half of second and I won by 3-4 cl's. He did not want to run again but I convinced him he could do alot better if he didn't spin. This time I let him go first and I still pulled him hard between 2-3 gear. It seems that he started gaining ground at the end but it was to late.
Everyone tells me my car is a beast between 2-3 gear. I raced an 04 lightning sat. night and beat him by 2-3 cl's. I even got behind him and let him go first and still passed him in third gear. We didn't shut it down until 150mph. I got a little nervous at 150.
The camaro is a '98 and not an '01. He wants a rematch after he does some mods and I told him about a class here locally that teaches people how to drive. He knows I was only kidding....kinda!

all i know that im not afraid to lose as well as win but my car with a flow pac and a loud mouth on stock ras's with 20,000 on them ran a 13.2 @ 106 so i havent had much experince loosing on the street. im sure some dude has way more money than a simple dad like me and wastes it on his car instead of his prioritys (like life in general) so my day will come .(did i say that out loud ? sorry!)

Good race. Sounds like the guy was a real dink and didn't know how to drive. I'm not trying to say he would have won if he could drive (probably would have been very close), but sounds like he got what he wanted, a race with a Mach 1.

Nice win man! Now tell him to grab some DR's and rain victorious over the Mach cause if he pulls an equal Sixty he is gonna do some Mach beatin
Really though, Congrats. Way to represent those 4.6's.

A good friend of mine has a LS-1 formula that runs 12.76-12.81 at the track so I am well aware of what they are capable of. It is an auto with bolt-ons but nevertheless that is quick.
