I was just asked by one of the mechanics if I wanted to race this Camaro that is getting serviced in the shop (oil change). He said the guy wanted to race a Mach 1 bad. Apparantly he has been reading about the LS1 vs 4V DOHC racing stories in forums for long enough. I do not even know this guy but I know his car is stock with a 6-speed. Mine is also a manual (5 speed) with flowmasters, CAI and a Predator tune. It should be a pretty good race, I'll let you know in about 3 hrs. If I get a chance I'll get it on Video.

 

Post up the results as it ought to be a good race.

Nice times for the mach Hodge..Machs are sweet. If he can drive worth a lick he should take take ya .Its gonna be close either way.
Although most people arent talented enough to get low 13's out of their cars even when capable.

I think he is gonna speak the truth. He has never said anything to discredit himself so lets give him the beneft of the dought. At least I will. A 13.3 is a respectable time as it is and he may have beat the LS1 thrue the quarter. All it takes is One mistake to run a 14 even in a low 13 second LS1. Or maybe its an LS1 that runs 13.6's. Either way, Its gonna be a good race.
