Will C5 Calipers fit on anything else?

My father had me take all 4 calipers off his 99 Vette and replace them with new ones. It was only cosmetics, same calipers, just painted red. Anyways, will these calipers fit on anything else besides a C5??

They're basically the same as LS1 calipers.

They should be called 98-02 f-body calipers. Those calipers are not exclusive to the cars with the LS1 powerplant...the base Firebird and Camaro utilize the exact same caliper.

I was told they would fit on later model F bodys, but I am not 100%. No one has ever converted to C5 calipers?

They're very similar in appearance, with the most noticeable difference being the "CORVETTE" name cast in the face, and the fact that the ribbing extends all the way forward.

What you can't see is that the Corvette calipers are pressure castings, which yields a much denser (and stronger) casting than the F-body's gravity-cast calipers.

Not that it means much on a street-driven car, but in a racing environment, the Corvette castings will be more resistant to caliper spreading. And they're very reasonably priced, compared to aftermarket brake cailpers.
