Re: C5 brake brackets

Hey phil, u just sent me some pics and I am interested in them. Have you had any problems or bugs with the conversion so far. Also how strong are they in respects from pulling down from 120 to 130+ at the end of a quarter. And it looks like they are a 2 piece set that connects together, I am seeing that right? Thanks for your time and look forward to selling me set in the near future.

Re: C5 brake brackets

I'm pretty sure you would need to use the C5 calipers to get the full benefit of the swap. If not, you're not going to use the entire rotor surface to slow the car. Ever see a C5 front brake rotor next to an LS1 F body rotor? BIG difference.

Re: C5 brake brackets

Yeah, but is the actual pad surface of the rotor that different? I haven't seen LS1 stuff. If it's just the diameter than it would work. Are the pads different?

Re: C5 brake brackets

Looks like it would be about $600 for all the parts, not including the brackets or the front calipur brake hoses(those part numbers were wrong)

Re: C5 brake brackets

What numbers are wrong, they match gmpartsdirect numbers. Yes you need the first half of the list plus some pads. Parts will vary in price depending on where you go. Print the list and talk with your local dealer or use gmpartsdirect.com (they take along time to ship though).
