will this axle fit?

Will a 92 axle fit onto a 97 Camaro Z?

I believe their about 2 inches or so shorter.

It fits - direct bolt-in, but as noted above, they are 1-1/2" shorter PER SIDE. That would require using rear wheels with close to 0mm offset (vs 55mm on your 4th Gen wheels), or adding 1-1/2" adapter/spacers with your 4th Gen wheels. Would not have the ABS provisions. Not sure about the disc brake mounting plates.
