Wheels Wheels Wheels

I just bought a set of 2000 Camaro wheels for my '94 Z....and they wobble.
Are there different offsets or back spacing...from front to back...
Or did I just throw money away?

Re: Wheels Wheels Wheels

You might have interference with the hubs. You might need to slightly dremel the ID of the wheels to fit over the hubs, Not sure if that is your prob, but check that first. I seem to remember something along that nature with retrofitting wheels.

Yeah, you are right.

That's the problem I had when I installed 02 SS wheels on my 93 z28, it was only the rear wheels I had make inside ID bigger, front wheels fit good.

Check your rear wheels, I did same thing. I put the wheels on and torqued the crap out of it only to find out that wheel was not sitting tight against the wall (or whatever that's called), had hell of a time getting that wheel off.

Re: Wheels Wheels Wheels

We have a "Wheels and Tires" forum and this topic is covered in the FAQ. As noted the rear axle hubs are larger than the front hubs through the 96 model year. In 97 they made the rear hubs smaller to match the fronts and made the hub hole in the wheels smaller.

Hopefully you didn't tighten the wheels down with excessive torque. The wheels may be very difficult to get off any may have fractures at the hub holes.
