What Next? After Prokit install.

I just finished installing my ProKit and a new set of DeCarbons for a 97(got a great deal on the shocks from a member).I know it's not the best combo but it was a good deal.
What else do i need to do? I've read that you need a adj.torque arm and then I 've read that I don't with the Prokit.

Thanks

You will need to get an adjustable panhard bar to re-center you rear axle. Also, if you want to have any traction, you will need to get some lower control arm relocation brackets as well as some adjustable lower control arms.

My rearend is still centered!!! I checked. What I'm wondering is if I've changed the rearend angle with only 1.3 inches of drop in the rear? Also should I get the car lined up? If so, should the shop use the orignal numbers or is there some other ones that are better?

If the car is still centered, that's good to hear. The relocation brackets would be nice, and an adj. TA to re-set your pinion angle. I used a Spohn tunnel mounted piece, and set the angle to negative 1 1/2.

To check the angle you have too have the car on a wheel hoist that's level. What is an exceptable angle?

Negative 1.5 degrees is what I run. Helps at the track and tame enough for the street.

Are you asking if the front wheels need to be realigned? If so, the answer is yes. The stock specs are not necessarily the best for lowered cars. There are some recommendations in the 4th Gen FAQ which seem to be consistant with what I did when I was running the Pro-Kit.

And you never had a problem with tire wear? I have ZR1 17X9.5 all the way around.

Thanks

I have had the same wheels and tires and Pro-Kit for over 2 years and I've never had treadwear or traction problems ever.

So you used the same numbers for the line up? Also what else did you do to your car's suspension?

Nice looking Vert.

Thanks. I have Koni shocks in the front and stock shocks in the rear as of now. The springs were all I ever did suspension-wise...I just wanted it lower.

The ZR1's are 17x9.5 with 275/40/17s tires on em.
