Upgrade Caliper, or get Reman'd Caliper

UPDATE: My dad told me to price the LS1 Conversion out, as well as doing the Rear LT1 Brakes. So far Ive got 580 for all 4 rotors, and all the pads. Slotted and Zinc Coated Powerslots. Hawk Pads.

Now how much are the LS1 Calipers and spindels going to cost me and where should I order them from. Autozone, Sam Taylor?

He told me I can just get the Braided SS lines some other time. But the 2 piston setup with larger rotors seems like a worthy upgrade to him.

You get the most gains from a bigger rotor, but you can't run a bigger rotor with 16" rims.

Doesnt the ls1 brake kit use the same size rotors? Would that be a worthwhile upgrade to get ls1 front brakes?

Also does the powerslot kit fit the front brakes of the Ls1s or would I then need to find a new company that sells rotors and pads for that.

I was thinking 13" rotor; LS1's have 12" rotors, LT1's have 11" rotors. The LS1 setup is definitely an improvement over the LT1 setup. I believe you can purchase a set of used parts to upgrade for around $300. I'm running the Baer 13" Track Kit that I got for $675 in a GP.

Re: Upgrade Caliper, or get Reman'd Caliper

So do you suggest getting LS1 Front Calipers from say Autozone or something if I want new. Then I need to upgrade to the LS1 spindel as well?

I have found a Powerslot kit for the LS1 brakes for 589 and the lt1 kit is 549, so its a worthwhile upgrade. But now I am wonding about the Rear brakes as well. Are the LS1 Rear the same as the LT1 Rear?

Otherwise I can't go with a kit and I would have to piece together the front and rear myself.

Thanks for the help so far.

Well I should be getting the LS1 Upgrade I believe

LS1 Calipers, 50 a piece from Billy Graham, 85 a piece for the knuckle.

Then

LS1 Front Powerslot Rotors, Hawk Pads

LT1 Rear Powerslot Rotors, Hawk pads

Total about 940.
