Tooled by bad wheel hub bearing, whats your opinion?

My hub bearing went bad last night, but before it went there were some warning signs. First it sounded like the tires whining on a 4 wheel drive, but not so loud. I attributed that to some used tires i had bought and put on the back to burn off, (when my i install my new motor). Then for a day or so, the brake pedal was real soft, i figured the master cylinder was going, i have 70k on her. Well it turned out to be a bad hub bearing. This is what i think happened, i had rotated the tires a while back, there were no arrows on the tires showing direction, i think i put the front 2 on backwards. That caused a vibration, and that broke the bearing after time. What do you guys think?

I don't think that explanation is plausible.

Well than that wheel bearing must have just went, at any rate, i should have caught it way earlier, i only drive the car on weekends, and my daily driver is a 4 x 4, i guess i was so used to driving the truck, that i didnt even notice the car making more noise.
