Tie Rod Ends, need opinions?

My 2 outer tie rod ends are bad. I was considering replacing them with Moog parts, but they are pricey(quality parts though) I noticed the house brand parts of my local auto parts store has them a lot cheaper with a lifetime warranty(Autozone, O'Reilly's, Advance, etc.). Anyone had experience with the house brand stuff for tie rod ends? This is for my '94 Z-28?

You get what you pay for... MOOG usually exceeds OEM specs....

Yes but not on the F body.

I replaced one outer tie rod end with Autozone duralast... first one seperated from the socket... The replacement wore loose in the joint after a short time... however it was on a Jeep crawling over tree stumps and rocks... They replaced them no questions asked but since the OEM on the left side never failed... I would guarantee a good aftermarket unit wouldn't have failed either; Saving me a bunch of wrenching time.

Keep in mind if I just daily drove it on the street the joint would have likely lasted a long long long time.

U get what u pay for, but from a mechanical point of view, if a part keeps going bad, either it's a junk cheap part, or there is something making it go bad. Don't skimp on the parts u put under your car!!!! U might sa e 10$ but when u r replacing it again in a few months or a year, or payin someone to do it u will kick yourself, and u always have to get 1 thing done after replacing front end parts, that's the alignment, unless u like to be somewhat close, then u measure from center point to center point and adjust it yourself, but I like my tires, and don't want to pay 150$ for a new one when I couldve paid 60$ and got the alignment. Cheap parts will lead to crappy situations!!!! Don't waste your time with them, be it from vacuum lines, plugs, wires, seals, gaskets, bolts, u won't like the outcome
