Suspention questions 93-97

Well, I'm confused as to where this thread is supposed to go, but regardless

is Eibash springs and Bilstein's shocks still one of the best combo's for 4th gen's?

I had that set in my 94 formula, and i never lost traction again.

I've already drag on some speed bumps, is it possible, that after 151 miles and being a police interceptor this thing is sagging unnecessarily?

What's confusing about "1967-2002 Specific Technical Discussion > Suspension, Chassis and Brakes"?

Which Eibach springs? They make several different applications for the 4th Gens.

ohh, sorry i didnt reread it before I copied/pasted posted it here, shoebox showed me the correct forum, had it originally in LT1 engine stuff

I had the Pro-Kit ones before I believe, I loved them.
Just wondering if there is a better model out or anything, its been about 5 years since I've touched a f-body, or I've been active on these forums... Just out of the loop.

I know they say they lower the car, but i'm wondering why my car already drags over stuff...

The pro kit is ok for normal driving and "the look"; the "best" out there is a coil-over setup; either QA1 or Koni but to do a full coil-over setup is $$.

As for normal shocks and springs there are lots of options. What is your goal with the car? Drag racing? Street Racing? Normal Driving? "the look"? etc?

Why don't you measure the gap from the top of the tires to the fender lip, and post them, allowing people to compare with their cars, and advise if the car has already been lowered. Note the tire size when you do that.

Tires are stock 245/50R16 w/ salad shooters

front was about 5 inches between tire and fender
Rear was about 5.5 inches between tire and fender.

is this lower than normal?

is this normal?

this car seems to drag more than my firebird did w/ eibash 1.25" lowering kit.

maybe your car current shocks are shot and its dampening/rebounding as well?
Your ride height is supported by the springs which really don't wear. But at 151k miles on your previous cop car I'm sure the shocks are probably worn out.
I would start with getting those replaced. I'm a fan of Bilstein HD's as they perform great on my car. Koni's would be another step up but cost twice as much.

THanks for the advice, I did enjoy my Bilstein HD's on my firebird LT1... I did not know whether to attribute the favorable ride to the Eibash or the Bilstein shocks...

This is a really broad question, i dont want to start a new thread...

but many of the BMR Fabrications suspension parts, example K-Member, or upper arm, lower arm, etc. they discuss they are lower weight than OEM parts.
Are they all around performance, or are they weight loss for drag racing purposes?

Personally, I like to corner would their products be strictly for weight reduction or actually for every aspect of performance?
