Sub Frame Connectors

Would yall recommend getting SFC if I really dont race the car? I know they are suppose to cut down on any flex but wasnt sure if they were needed. My car does have T-Tops. If so which should I get or are they all pretty much the same? Thanks for the advice.

I got tubular 2 point weld in SFC's on my 99 hard-top, And I lost no ground clearance, plus I noticed a difference.

The difference is dramatic when you jack the car. Stock, you jack up one wheel at a time depending whether you put the jack under the front notch in the rocker panel or the rear notch. With SFC's no matter where you put the jack, the entire side of the car, including both wheels comes off the ground.

I think that demonstrates the benefits of SFC's in eliminating body twist.

So I guess round tube is recommended over boxed as well?

I see your point, I guess Ill go with my initial gut and get those once the engine is sealed back up and a few other things are taken care of.

Thank you all for the advice.

I would highly suggest these. I got the bolt on and also welded them. They are more expensive because they include bolts and they are painted. http://www.slponline.com/browse_list.asp

I picked round because of ground clearance, box is stronger, but it hangs down around an inch.....

Texas has some rough roads...

SFC are probably one of the best mods you can do to a T-top or convertible car. Adding them will also reduce the squeaks you hear in the interior when you travel over rough roads.
