Question STB installation

Okay... Probably a dumb question, but I'll ask anyway...

I just bought a used BMR STB and it didn't come with any installation instructions. So..., is there anything more to it than just removing the nuts from the top of the struts, installing the STB and tightening the nuts back on?

Thanks!

TS

Re: STB installation

One possible problem is the fact that the studs from the upper spring seats, that you need to slide the STB over, are not vertical. As a result, it may appear impossible to fit the brace over the studs... one side will fit, the other won't. I had to loosen the two bolts on one shock tower, in addition to the two studs. Then I jacked the front end, and pulled the wheel down so the studs retracted into the fender. Then you put the STB over the holes, and let the studs pop up into the holes.

Re: STB installation

Thanks guys! No problems with the installation: removed the nuts, placed the STB over the bolts, tightened the nuts, done.
