springs and stb question

alright, sorry to combine 2 questions into 1 thread, but i didn't want to waste space in the main section

anyways, i was wondering if slp's stb would be any better really than bmr's
they're both about the same price but shipping is a little more for the slp

second, i might've asked this question before but...are there any totally linear springs?
i know the ls1 kit has front linear and rear progressive but i'm looking for a total linear spring package
and yea, i would call sam strano, but i'm not quite ready to get anything yet

i guess that's about it
thanks in advance for the help

Re: springs and stb question

An STB is something that is very low on the priority list. I don't even run one on my own car (the car I won this year's champioship in).

Can you get linear springs front and rear? Yep, sure can.

Re: springs and stb question

sam, thanks for popping in for me
didn't really want to call you since i don't plan on getting springs/shocks/lca reloc. brackets, and panhard rod too soon (got a couple other things to take care of first)
what linear springs are there for the front and rear?
i thought the ls1 prokit was the only one left where you could actually get linear (atleast on the fronts)
if you could help me out on this one, i'd greatly appreciate it
thanks

Re: springs and stb question

You have two options. Either a set of Coil-overs, or ST's Speedtech springs. Coil-overs allow you/me/us to pick your rates and your ride heights as well. The ST's are regular springs. Pretty low like the LS1 Pro-kit, but linear 428/161. That's a touch stiff in the rear for the front rate IMHO, and a little lower than I like my car, but it's an option.

Re: springs and stb question

well, to avoid startinga whole new thread...
what are coilovers exactly? is it just a special type of spring or is it the spring and shock combined in one?
if it's basically just an adjustable spring, i'd probably go with the st speedtech springs

Re: springs and stb question

nevermind, stupid question
after searching, seems like it's just an adjustable spring
i might go with the springs just for being the cheaper alternative
