Re: shock spacers?

The spacers that BMR makes are only for the front. They work by raising the bottom of the shock, which raises the lower spring seat on the coil-over front shocks. You don't have a coil-over shock in the back, so there's nothing you can do to the shocks to raise the ride height of the rear. You would need spacers under the springs, a thicker upper rubber seat, or do it the right way and go to a coil-over kit for there rear.

Re: shock spacers?

what about an eibach drag launch kit? are those just as good on handling as stock springs? are they ok for the street? and how much do they raise the car by? and whats a coil over kit, how much, and where can you get it?
thanks

p.s. what about adjustable shocks? what do you think of koni? can they raise the height of the back at all?
thanks

Re: shock spacers?

I have the Eibach Drag Launch springs in the back. Raised the back end about 1/2". I haven't noiced any radical changes in street handling, but then my car is really set up to go only in a straight line, so I wouldn't even attempt to drive it hard in the corners.

A coil-over kit puts the rear springs over the rear shocks. With a QA1/HAL shock, that makes the ride height fully adjustable, since you can move the height of the spring seat on the shock body. You can also get QA1/HAL shocks for the front, making the front ride height adjustable.

For a quality coil-over kit for the rear:

"Adjustable" shocks like the Koni's only allow you to adjust the shocks' stiffness, not the ride height.
