Rmoving the LCA's?

I will be pulling mine off this week and was wondering if anyone had any heads-ups for me. I believe the bolt is an 18mm or so but I can't seem to get a good setting on the head. Everything is perfectly placed in the way. Any suggestions will be much apprecited. Thanks!

It's pretty easy, and yes I think it's 18 mm. I used a 1/2" drive socket and an 18" wrench. Not a bad job, kinda cramped for space with the tools though.

I used a 3/4 socket on the nut and an universal wrench to keep the bolt from moving. I think the 3/4 was a little big (although it worked fine) so 18mm should work.

The LCAs shouldn't be bad at all. The problem is that the bolt/nut may be rusted and it will be hard to take it out so you might want to spray some wd40 on it the night before.

What madwolf said. Spray some WD40 on the bolts at least a day in advance. It works.

I recommend using PB Blaster. Even then I had to stand on the breaker bar to get the damn things loose. Remember, one side at a time. If the new ones don't fit, jack up/lower the rear until it lines back up.

Oh yes, forgot to mention... the shop manual specifies to tighten the LCA bolts only with the rear in curb position.
