Re: reverse wheel hop????

The suspension is designed to slightly lift the chassis on the launch (based on the "instant center" of the suspension). In reverse, the suspension will lift the axle and basically do the opposite. Do not do burnouts in reverse in these cars. Wheel hop is bad and can/will break things.

Why would you be doing burnouts in reverse? Don't you feel like an idiot? If i saw someone doing that, i'd point and laugh. Basically, the answer to your problem is stop driving like that.

I'm Not Trying To Do Burn Outs. But If I Push The Gas A Bit It Starts To Hop.

Re: reverse wheel hop????

someone told me you shouldnt do reverse burnouts because the angle of the teeth on the ring and pinion gears can't handle a lot of stress rotating the opposite direction (not that anything in that dinky 10-bolt can handle alot of stress regardless )

if your not accelerating hard and its happening you have a problem. I go fast in reverse (not mashing the gas fast) and have zero wheelhop. i drive better in reverse then a lot of people do going forward its fun to freak people out. maybe something in your suspension is binding your either giving it too much gas in reverse or its some problem i never heard of
