Removing steering shaft...stuck

So I removed the top bolt and pryed it pretty good, got it about 75% off but it doesnt want to go anymore. I am going to break anything?

I also removed the bottom bolt but figured the top part would be easier to remove.

Whats the proper sequence for removing the shaft? Top or bottom first?

Does the bottom even need to be off for the top to release? I am just trying to get LT's in.

Bottom first, then top. Make sure you don't turn your steering wheel more that one full turn either direction while the coupler is off; if you do you'll break the ABS wire in the steering wheel.

Nice, I got it, w/ a little help from a crowbar bottom popped right off, and slid top part off. LT slid right in no problems at all. Niiice!

I'm sure you meant "you'll break the airbag wire in the steering wheel."
