Rear caliper ebrake disassembly
Rear caliper ebrake disassembly
I have a nice set of powdercoated calipers for my 94, but when they did the powdercoating they did not put everything back together right so I never hooked it up since I had a auto.
well I went to a 6 speed now and I need them again. I bought a junk set and Im trying to figure out how to get the ebrake assembly off the junk set and put them on the good set. looks like there is a bolt on the slider pin that you can get to ???
any help would be appreciated.

Re: Rear caliper ebrake disassembly
yes, though getting to it is a bit of a hassle. Not sure of an easy way to get it apart (or put it back together.) It has been awhile since I did mine and I am at work but my recollection is the bracket bolt is either a torx or allen and I used a 1/4 drive socket to get at it. There also was a small combination wrench involved on the second fastener with like an 1/8 of a turn each time. I also recall putting it together loose, clamping it in a vise and battling the spring for a while as well. Once you figure out the unique technique, the second ones goes together faster.

Shoebox has several factory manual diagrams of the 93-97 rear calipers. Go here, and scroll down to the bottom of the page:
