Rear brake question
Rear brake question
Ok here is what happened. I replaced my rotors (due to cracks) with some drilled/slotted rotors from summit. Also replaced the pads with Hawks HPS brake pads. The issue I am have is on the left (drivers side) rear rotor. I compressed the caliper with a C clamp and put the new pads in place. Go to replace the caliper on the rotor and the it does not go all the way. The pads keep getting stuck about halfway on (the bottom of outer pad will slide inward). Recently I was trying to get them on and messed up the thin metal plate that sits in the bottom of the caliper. Here is the question:
Does anyone know the correct name of the metal plate so I can see try to find a new one or know where I can buy one?
Thanks.
BTW this is on a 1996 Camaro Z28.

Here is a picture of the part

The only thing I have been able to find is a kit from the Autozone website however the kit at the store does not include the metal clips. Also from the dealer it only comes in a package that includes a pair of brake pads that I don't need.
