QA1 setup questions help

I have the qa1 r fronts with the springs installed.I got the spring ride height at 12 inches for a start. After reading all there instructions im really in the dark on the right ride height. This car is DRAG RACE only .Next question is the damper settings.I see where everyone says 3 so is that from counter clockwise just 3 clicks or 4 clicks = 1, 8=2 12 =3 so on so forth. Thanks everyone

Are the "R" shocks 12-way adjustable like the non-R units? If so, I always reference the settings from full counter-clockwise. If I wanted the fronts at "3", I'd move the **** counter-clockwise until it stops (do not apply excessive force), then turn it clockwise 3 clicks. It really shouldn't matter. You're going to have to experiment with the shocks on your car, to see what works best for it. For the front, with my non-R setup, I generally set them at 1 or 2 clicks from full counter-clockwise.

As far as ride height, when I installed the springs, before installing the springs, I adjusted the the lower seat so it was the same height from the centerline of the bottom shock bolt as the stock seat was on the stock shock. That got me pretty close, but a little on the low side. It was just a matter of using the spanner wrench to adjust the front end to the height I wanted, which was a shade lower than stock. Again, what works best on your car may not be the same as someone elses.

OK thanks. yes the R shocks are 12 way. adjustable. The QA1 instructions had me confused the way they worded the damper settings. So i know now how to set that.Another question is going from a 16 inch wheel to a 15 inch wheel i might have to adjust the ride height then. maybe depending on the tire size on the front i use for the skinnys. Think im starting to get this

Wheel diameter change will not require a ride height adjustment. Its the tire diameter that counts. And even then, there's no fixed rule regarding tire diameter and ride height.
