power steering ??? do i need it

power steering ??? do i need it

can i just take the power steering pump off and drive it like that ? its mostly a race car but will be driven on the street sometimes. i dont want to spend $500 on a maunal rack.

Weather you have a rack and pinion steering or a gear box you can run it with out the pump.
It's not going to be good for it but you can.
Just hook both lines together and you should be good to go.

it is much easyer to steer with a manual rack that a power rack and no pump.
