Handling Issues

I recently purchased a 95 Z28 and I'm having handling issues. Whenever I'm on any road which is a little rough the car seems to go all over the place and is hard to control. I actually have to turn the steering wheel all over the place to keep the car the car going straight even on areas with minor groves or ruts. I have had another Z28 and it was nothing like this. What could be the cause of this?

worn parts, tie rod ends or ball joints. jack it up and try to move everything
could be bearings. try to move the tire up and down, or in and out on the top and bottom , and left to right
and have someone move the steering wheel back and forth while watching for movement at the tie rod ends

Tires and wheels make a big difference, too. Post what you have. Alignmnent could be an issue, as well.

The car has the stock rims and the tires are 245's all around.

Do the tires look to be wearing evenly?

Take it to your local tire shop for a alignment. They'll let you know if your suspension parts are bad/worn (tie rod ends, ball joints, etc.)

It should not be that twitchy, unless the tires have really stiff sidewalls. Get the alignment checked and check for worn out front end parts.

I'll be getting the alignment checked, it doesn't seem like a normal alignment issue though. At this point I'm thinking the car has worn out parts, the twitchiness seems too drastic to be a normal alignment issue.
