new steering gear?

I have a 94 camaro z28. i was replacing the power steering pump, compression house and return line. i was fitting the return line into the steering gear and i tightened it too much(it was really rusty.) the piece of the steering gear that has the threads on it actually flew off. so there is nothing for the hose to thread into now. i just need some ideas on how to fix this. do i have to replace the whole steering gear?
