Nasty sway on '93 Z28 m6
?I have replaced the torque arm (BMR) and the panhard rod also.
The car has a real nasty sway right after I shift and also while on throttle.
I have spohn lower control arms and BMR trak pack. Is there somethin that I should also be looking at? Could it be the sway bar or the car out of alignment. Any ideas would greatly be appreicated.
( The sway ranges about a foot either direction) It is in the rear of the car and it is starting to scare the *hit out of me!

What do you mean when you say it sways "a foot in either direction"? Do you mean the back of the car moves to the left and then to the right, one foot in each direction - like a "fishtail"? Do the tires actually break traction, or is it just the perception that the back of the car is moving around, side-to-side? That might be related to a loose panhard rod, or to adjustable LCA's that are not adjusted the same length on both sides.
I've also found that with very wide tires in the back (315's) I can sense a side-to-side "wandering" of the rear end when I accelerate hard on an asphalt road with deep truck wheel ruts, but that's just the edges of the tread riding up and down the ruts in the asphalt - same "wandering" feeling you get when wide front tires ride up and down the edges of the ruts.

nasty sway in rear
the tires dont break loose at all i could be going into a turn hard either direction and the rear of the car will dance side to side. i do have 285/40/17s in the rear and 265/40/17s in the front, i know the car can track sometimes but the car used to never do this, and its alot so im afraid to really drive the car??????. I'm going to BMR in tampa again to pick up the sway bar. my rear control arms are tubular but non-adjsustable(spohn),......any ideas would be great...thanks
I can't help much without speaking to you, as "sway" can be a very generic term and subject to a whole lot of interpretation.
If it's acting up in both directions than it's not axle alignment. "sway" is generally a lack of damping, which is the shocks. Nothing stated about shocks, so I have to assume you have stock shocks, which isn't helping. But it could be a combination of things. What you did was for drag racing, and one thing drag strips aren't is crowned and they don't have ruts like roads do. The lesser articulation of the combination of parts you have would only make an issue worse.
