my brakes picked a fight with my welds

I have 15x9 welds on the back of my car time to do the brakes, no problem get it all back toghether and the rear calipers rub onthe wheel. Must be the new pads spaced the caliper just enough to rub. Time to bust otu the grinder and go off on these calipers. Never can go perfect

Your exactly right...the wider pads changed the clearance.

how much are you going to have to grind off your caliper?
must be some real tight clearence, and with only one hitting is it bent a bit?

no both of the back ones were grinding, I had the same problem on the front until I ran spacers. All I did was grind the fins off of the back of the caliper. Not the whole fin but probaly 1/8". Works fine now but an unexpected problem. I hate that just changing pads and some cross drilled rotors turned into a haedache. Oh well it's done now. Time for some beer
