motor sits 1in back after bmr sbc swap

I put an bmr k-member 4 the sbc conversion in my 02 trans am. After dropping the motor and trans in the trans mount is 1 inch off from lining up with the crossmember. The motor needs 2 come up1 inch towards the front of the car for mount to work. Also the drive shaft is pushed all the way 2 the tail shaft on trans. I measured my friends car with a carbed lt1 and his motor sat exactly 1 inch farther up than mine. Does anyone no if there are problems with the bmr member?also the motor needs to come over towards the driver side about a half inch to make header fit around steering arm.Any ideas on what I can try?

Well, it's really a good thing to have your motor sitting farther back, it is all the more balanced. I would just suggest making a new tranny mount.

Have you contacted BMR? Their customer service is pretty good
