More KB DD SFC Questions

I spent about an hour at the local muffler shop on the rack with
the KB DD SFCs taking a good look at fitment and interference
issues prior to installing them at a later time. They look like the
fit should be very good, with only a couple of minor mods needed.
So here is where I have questions:

> At the front of the passenger SFC there is at least 3/8" to 1/2" of
play (side to side, not up and down). Is the intent to only weld the
flat plate to the bottom of the frame, or are the square and round
tubes to also be welded? To accomplish this I will have to cut a piece
out of the flat plate and push the tubes againast the frame, then weld
everything up.

> The above situation is less on the drivers side, but there is still some
play.

> What length of welds, and how many are needed along the main tube?

> Should the boxed area at the LCAs be welded?

> Is any welding necessary for the plate that bolts at the X-brace?

> Any other suggestions?

Re: More KB DD SFC Questions

IIRC Mine are only welded on the plates... none of the tubes are welded.
