Monroe Sensa-Trac?

Anybody have any experience with their shocks/struts? A local suspension shop recommended them at quoted me at $300 for the front and $130 for the rear, parts/labor. Seems like an ok deal considering the Eibachs i was looking at were $550/set and the sensa-trac's have a lifetime warranty.

Im not interested in road racing but want a better than stock suspension and good quality. Thanks

Sorry I was looking at this package and failed to notice that they were bilstein shocks with eibach springs.http://www.ws6project.com/user_stor/...894028ea3eacdc

They probably recommend them because that is all they know of or have access too. I would venture to guess that you would get a better quality ride with a set of Bilsteins.

I work for Monroe, thier focus is on an OE style ride(comfort). The bilstein/eibach package would be a better handling(firmer) ride. If all you want is a stock type replacement, you wont find a better quality than what we build.

I had Sensa-Trac's all the way around on my 84 Trans Am and loved 'em. Good value for the money spent, and I bought them at Advance in the spring so they were having their yearly spring shock/strut promotion sale going on. It's almost that time of year now, so you might as well check and see if they're doing a good deal this year. I admit there's better quality stuff and I probably would get better quality next time I have to buy shocks/struts, but if money's tight I wouldn't think twice about buying the Monroe's.

Monroe's are just OEM replacements and not considered a performance shock. If you actually want to improve your handling, check out the Bilsteins we sell. They are only a little more money and will dramatically improve your handling.

Leave the Monroes for the grocery getters!
