Non-Adjustable Shocks: Bilstein Vs. Monroe Vs. KYB
Non-Adjustable Shocks: Bilstein Vs. Monroe Vs. KYB
So I'm in the market for a set of shocks for my Formy. I'm looking for non-adjustables. I know Bilstein HD's are the best ones to get, but they are a bit pricy at around $350 a set. So I was looking at the Monroe Sensa-Track/Reflex and the KYB Gas-A-Just. Here's my criteria for what I'm looking for in a new set of shocks.
Non-Adjustable.
A good ride on bumpy roads [meaning my kidney's will thank me].
Increased handling over the stock DeCarbon's.
Anyone have any experience with the Monroe or KYB non-adjustables? The Bilsteins?

Re: Non-Adjustable Shocks: Bilstein Vs. Monroe Vs. KYB
bilsteins are well worth the money. dont skimp out just because you want to save the $50...shocks are a very important part of suspension and bilsteins are the best for under 500. if you can get a revalved set for 350, take them while you can

Spend the cash or wait, shocks alone will give you a new beast. IMO, tires, shocks, springs everything else. Start from what touches the road and work your way thru.

Good luck trying to find good shocks for cheap. $350 for regular Bilstein HD's are hella cheap in my opinion and worth saving up some dough for them. For a firmer feel..I went through Stranoparts.com and got their revalved Bilstein's.
