Major problems with K-Member Install

I just installed a BMR K-Member and Madman Manual Rack. After everything is back together, Ii notice that the motor sits slighty more towards the driver's side.

Car starts up fine after 2 months and I try to take it for a spin. The car will not turn. I get it back into the garage and notice that the steering linkage is right on the #1 primary header (LT's). Also, the brake line is melting on the header.

My only guess is that with the new motor mount on the passenger side, the old mount on the drivers side is causing the motor to lean? That does not explain why the steering shaft is lying on the header though. Any ideas?

the steering shaft on the header is a common problem. My pacesetters did it. i had to grind the shaft a little bit. Why would you put 1 new mount in and noth the other?
