LT1 Wheel Hop issue
LT1 Wheel Hop issue
I was wondering if you can help me out a bit....I have a 95 camaro which recently went through a transplant of an LT1/ t-56.
I put NT555's on the back rims, and for the life of me...I cant seem to get rid of teh wheel hop. the entire car shakes violently and i am afraid that I may break something even further.
A couple of things that I've checked.
The rims are fine, the tires are too.
Im not to sure if my mounts are good. I changed all of them throughout the swap, and I changed all the bushings too. My guess is that I've abused teh hell out of them in the last month!
Also, maybe this may have something to do with it...when I drive my maro soft, the tranny jumps up and down throughtout first and second gear....
if i drive it hard...no big deal! any thoughts? suggestions? thanks in advance.

Re: LT1 Wheel Hop issue
I have two cheap easy fixes for you. Get a poly tranny mount, the factory one is probably toast anyways. The second fix is that you might need new rear shocks. When shocks dont damp as well or become defective they can allow wheel hop.
