LS1 Rear Brakes on an LT1? Possible?

I have a bad caliper on my rear brakes and was thinkin about upgradin to LS1 rear brakes. Is this possible? It's on a 96 BTW.

The only thing you'd gain by doing it is a better parking brake design. Otherwise there's no point.

Exactly like he said,its a worthless mods.Put a stock one and if you want better braking performance,go with a ls1 front brake swap or even better a C5 front brake swap

The rear brakes are practically the same size. If you change you must change the caliper mount and the axles in addition to the calipers and rotors. The cost to benefit ratio is not very high, IMO.

I have been told that the LS1 brakes are a an easy bolt on as long as you have all the brackets, cables, calipers etc.

There has also been som discussion that you have to replace the axles cause the LS1 axles are a tad longer or shorter or somthing like that.

Is this true?

Ok, thanks for the input. I have a extra set of calipers layin around somewhere I think I might try them and see if that will fix my problem.
