LS1 caliper bracket available for LT1 spindles?

I bought an LS1 conversion kit that comes with everything except the spindles. Im having a hard time finding anyone selling just the spindles for a reasonable price. Does any make a caliper bracket that will bolt onto the LT1 spindles allowing you to use LS1 calipers?

Re: LS1 caliper bracket available for LT1 spindles?

I checked out that post Injuneer mentioned, and I just want to make sure I'm reading it right...

The post indicated that with a little grinding the LS1 calipers will fit into the LT1 caliper bracket, is that correct?

If that is true, does it mean I can use my stock LT1 spindle and hub, and complete this swap with just calipers, pads, and rotors?

If so that would be great because I need to replace all of that anyways and I'd rather do it with LS1 components if I don't have to swap the spindle and hub...

no.

There is no adapter bracket available that will allow you to run LS1 calipers and rotors on a LT1 car.

The only adapter bracket I know of is for C5 rotors and calipers.

It is possible that with the adapter bracket the LS1 caliper would work in place of the C5 caliper, but you would still need the C5 rotors.

Totally true because I just finished my LS1 front brake upgrade last week on my 97 Z & you have to purchase the spindles with the hubs or nothing will fit! I was able to find a scrap yard 40 minutes from my house that had a 98-02 Camaro sitting there with the spindles already removed & put in the front seat. Sorry to tell you this, but it's for your own good. Good luck & start calling junk and scrap yards in your area!
