'78 Camaro Can't hook up!
Hello guys!
It's been awhile since I've been on here, and my project has come a long way in the last few months. I've got my engine, trans and rear-end built and in the car, but I have one last problem: no traction! I'm going to use 26x14 slicks in the rear, once I get my suspension figured out. I'm going to put sub frame connectors and an 8 point cage in the car to keep things fairly straight, but what can I use to get that rear suspension to hook like nobody's business? I've got nearly 800 horsies (including nitrous), with a TH350 with trans brake, and instead of burning tires, I'd much rather put my headlights in the trees! Let me know what you guys think!

You said you have no traction and that you are GOING TO run slicks. Why do you expect it to hook now without them?

I don't, not by any means. I'm in the process of building the car, and I'm just browsing some setups and I'm sure someone knows what works best. I've got an old set of Mickey Thompson Street ET's that are a 10.5 tire, and I threw them on to see where I'm starting. With nearly 800 horses to the ground, I'm just looking to find what will get my car off the line straight. Wheel lift doesn't really matter, it's expected. Just let me know what you guys think

I got ya now.
I would start out with the basics. Throw some adjustable shocks up front and back, throw on some cal-tracs on the rear. Then hope the rear is built strong enough!
