LCA relocation

i am looking at getting a set from umi, is there that much of an advantage to the weld in over the bolt on?

The bolt in are just as strong as the weld in.

price wise the bolt ons are a bit more but you save that by not paying a welder to put them on.

Note that if you're going to invest in a aftermarket rear in the near future you will need to go with weld-in relo brackets though.

The weld-in style are going to over more in terms of strength. Some people buy the bolt-ins and have them welded as well in a later time.

I've got bolt-in brackets with my Strange 12 bolt. No need to go with weld on type.

Must just be for the BMR brackets then.

No... its for Moser rears. The Strange 12-bolt is totally identical to the factory rear with regard to the axle tubes and brackets.

Maybee an old thread but are you saying that the J&M bolt in LCA brackets won't fit the Moser 12 bolt? I ask because I just purchased the Moser and have the bolt in LCA relo bracket waiting to be installed.

No they won't, you need to go with a set like UMI makes just for Moser rear ends
