It isn't the GTA....how to help it

Well I parted out my GTA and bought a 95 Z28 M6...and as much as I'm very satisfied with the "upgrade" it is falling a little short in a couple areas.

Mainly it just doesn't feel as solid or straight driving as my GTA did. I need to get tires in the front which might help a little in the straight driving area...I just got an alignement and it helped. I also just bought a set of SLP weld on subframe connectors that will be installed in a week or so, and I know those will help tremedously. After that though what should I do? I know the GTA had a lot better swaybar setup.....so should I get aftermarket sway bars or will a STB surfice?

What is the typical shock life for these cars? I'm thinkin of doin an upgrade in the spring shock area as well, but I don't wanna do it till the stock shocks need replacing or are at least close to needing it.
