install questions

hey guys I am going to swap some parts from a 1999 camaro to 2000 camaro.

Front and rear sway bars-
Rear lower control arms-
****ADJUSTABLE**** panhard rod-

My question is are there any suprises that I should be ready for switching the stock and performance parts from car to car. D
Do I have to re-adjust the panhard bar?
Any tricks or special techniques you guys have would be greatly appriciated!

Thanks, Nick

Re: install questions

It should be a straight-forward swap. You might need to adjust the panhard rod to center the rear end under the car.

Re: install questions

Patience and a measuring device for the phb, or eyball it.

On the LCA's if they're poly bushed put some grease on the outer egde of the bushings and ithey'll slide up in the bracket easier. If they're rod ended it should go easily enough.

Re: install questions

Also another tip, when doing the LCAs, only replace one side at a time, don't take off both LCAs at once.

Re: install questions

oh thanks ill be sure to do that.

also another question does it matter if i take off the sway bars with the tires under load, or if they are hanging in the air, because i heard somewhere that they should be under load for an easier install......... urban myth, or truth?

When I did the rear sway bar, I put the car up on jackstands. It made for a very easy install.
