How To Remove Drag Rear Sway Bar?

My car use to have the BMR Xtreme Duty Rear Sway Bar, but it was too noisey for daily use. I removed it and I want to install the stock sway bar, but the problem is the end-links are welded to the frame. Notice in the picture the endlink (top attatchement) is welded covering the holes where the normal saddle bolts up to the frame. I want to know how I can get that saddle off. Its obvious that only cutting, but cutting the welds is going to take a century!

Cut the stud on the end link mounting bracket off flush with the bracket. Drill and tap two holes for the stock bracket.

Another plus for the Spohn detail... the bracket bolts onto the stock holes, then gets tack welded. Removing it would simply require grinding the welds off, and you would still have the holes for the stock bolts.

Maybe it would be possible to use the frame mounted rod end and the turnbuckle and just screw a bolt into the bottom end of the turnbuckle with swaybar bushings on it?
