First suspension mod for my soon to be finished 600+RWHP T/A?

If everything goes right (not so far), we will fire up the new 383 with a D1SC making around 15lbs of boost in my 95 T/A this week!!

What would be the very first suspension mod you suggest I do? Everything is stock suspension wise. I was leaning toward SFC's to keep the frame from twisting. What do you guys/gals think?

sub frames for sure. Get umi's 3pt ones. Or slp's but you want a 3pt sfc. Next would be lca's and a panhard rod arm.

I think you answered your own question. Definately some subframe connectors with that kind of HP. It's only a start though with that kind of power on tap. If it were me, a quality chassis mounted torque arm would be next after that.

you really need a whole new aftermarket suspension. Panhard rod arm, tq arm, lca's, etc. With that much power you shouldnt have many stock parts left in the car.
You ll just break things over and over, you could actaully consider it un safe. A lt1 was designed with 250rwhp(roughly) in mind. When you are 2.5 times that you have to think about what your doing to the car. And that take the proper actions to make the car safe.

I'm still running stock LCA's and Panhard bar. They work fine and will provide a smoother better adapting suspension. 2 pt bmr subframe connectors are plenty. The stamped steel stock torque arm will need to be replaced for sure if you will be launching on drag radials or slicks. The best suspension mod so far for me has been the 9" tru trac diff, then LCA relocation brackets and finally would be subframe connectors.

Which subframe connectors do you suggest, bolt in or weld in?

You want weld-in SFC's at that HP level.

Click on the "mods list" link in my signature, and scroll down to the suspension section. The car dead hooks.
